Oscar Obsession

Oscars 2011 in L'Wren Scott
Although the Oscars have long since passed, I am still incredibly impressed by one particular garment worn by Amy Adams.

The combination of color is everything. Inventively, she paired a navy sequence dress with rich green jewelry and red lips. With her naturally vibrant hair, the look by L'Wren Scott was sealed to perfection.

Surprisingly, this look did not get very much attention. As I sat down to watch E!'s Fashion Police, I was astonished that other "safe" and "mediocre" options were highlighted, yet Ms. Adams was not mentioned.

In addition to Amy Adams, Michelle Williams looked radiant in a demure Chanel gown. The detailing on this dress was to die for. The color was perfect as well, matching so delicately the porcelin tone of her skin and hair.

Thus, I am stating that these were some of the best looks of the night!

  1. I loved Amy Adam's dress, however, I think she should have worn her hair in a simple bun. It would have showcased the dress more since there was a higher neck.

  2. I didn't watch the Oscar's but I always enjoy looking online at the fashion "do's and don'ts" after they are over. I like going through and reading what critics say about people's outfits because sometimes I don't agree with what the critics say! Amy's dress is beautiful but I think it didn't get the attention it deserved!

  7. The best part about watching the oscars, or any other award show is to check out what everyone is wearing. Some celebrities wear the most outrageous things!

  8. I agree with claire, although the dress is stunning it would of been better with her hair pulled off her face in a bun

  9. I guess her hair in a bun might of worked well too. However, because the dress is not very revealing, I find the sexy waves youthful. I still cannot get over how much I love this dress! Thanks for all the responses.
